On June 7, the second online meeting of the representatives of these universities was held. It was supported by Cormack Consultancy Group and UK Universities.

The aim of the meeting was to identify common areas of interest to establish educational, academic, research and cultural cooperation between the H.S.Skovoroda KhNPU and Cardiff Met.

At the meeting, Cardiff team included executives and officers responsible for different areas of its activities. Vice Rector Svitlana Berezhna made a presentation on the research, educational, and cultural potential of the Skovoroda University and the suggestions for cooperation.

The participants of the meeting discussed the practical ways of setting up cooperation, in particular:

• cooperation between the two libraries in terms of the access to the publication resources, repository and support for the library funds;

• access for Ukrainian students to the online courses of the Cardiff Metropolitan University;

• technical assistance on the Moodle platform;

• cooperation in arts (holding events in the field of arts, including those dedicated to the 300-year birth anniversary of Hryhorii Skovoroda that will be celebrated on December 3, 2022);

• cooperation in teacher training;

• joint organisation of scientific conferences, forums, and public lectures (e.g. in Management);

• engaging in traditional events and holding joint events over the academic year;

• cooperation in sports and physical education (joint training for sports clubs of our university, including volleyball club “Kharkivyanka” and folk dancing company “Bumerang”) and an opportunity to organise summer schools for our students;

• cooperation at the level of student self-government to share experience in student internationalization;

• support to Skovoroda University in intensifying English speaking clubs by engaging native speakers etc.

Svitlana Berezhna also invited British colleagues to joint publication activities in our Scopus-indexed journal “Health, Sport, Rehabilitation”.

At the meeting, the Universities agreed that the following tasks will be inviting to the meeting of the Deans of the Schools and Faculties, head of units of both Universities to specify common interests and initiate academic, research and cultural contacts among the staff of both educational institutions. It was also agreed to set up a working group and identify responsible persons in each area of cooperation.

The meeting was constructive, fruitful, friendly and inspiring. Its participants concluded that these online meetings are highly useful since they help to identify the potential of each University for the further cooperation.

N.B. Cardiff Metropolitan University is one of the 30 British Universities that was selected to establish partnership with our University under the Twinning initiative, coordinated by Cormack Consultancy Group.
